International carrier Qatar Airways has announced plans to double its Kyiv-Doha service to two daily flights starting on 14 December. The news comes just weeks after the airline launched flights to the Ukrainian capital on 28 August.
Qatar Airways officials said the decision to double the number of daily Kyiv flights came in response to high demand for the new service, which allows Kyiv passengers to connect to over 150 global destinations via the Qatar Airways hub in Doha.
The arrival of Qatar Airways in Ukraine in late summer 2017 was hailed as a major breakthrough for the country's connectivity. The Kyiv-Doha route is served by Airbus A320 planes with a flight time of just over five and a half hours.
