Leroy Merlin Ukraine has announced plans to open the French DIY retail company’s first hypermarket outside of Kyiv in spring 2019. The new 10,500 square meter store will be located at the Riviera entertainment and shopping center in Odesa in a district of the Black Sea port city where company officials say extensive residential construction activity will generate significant local demand. Leroy Merlin entered the Ukrainian market in 2008 and currently has four hypermarkets in the country, all of which are located in the capital Kyiv.
