HOSPITALITY: Kyiv hotel occupancy rate climbs 4% in third quarter of 2018

The Ukrainian capital city is enjoying a rising international profile thanks to events like the 2018 Champions League Final and the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest

The Ukrainian capital continues to attract more visitors, with the average occupancy rank of Kyiv hotels in the July-September period rising by 4% year-on-year to reach 52.4%. According to research conducted by CBRE Ukraine, the average price of a hotel room in Kyiv during the third quarter of 2018 was USD 106.

These figures reflect the steadily improving performance of the Kyiv hotel sector in recent years as the Ukrainian capital benefits from a rising international profile. Kyiv has hosted a number of major international events including the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest and 2018 UEFA Champions League Final, helping to generate positive international media coverage of the city.
