Ukrainian agricultural exports to the European Union totaled USD 6.3 billion in 2018, representing a year-on-year increase of slightly less than 10%.

This USD 6.3 billion total maintains the recent growth trend that saw the value of agricultural exports to the EU rise from USD 4 billion in 2016 to USD 5.8 billion in 2017, underlining the free trade benefits of Ukraine and the European Union’s Association Agreement.

Key Ukrainian agricultural exports to the EU included grains (USD 2.2 billion) and oilseeds (USD 1.1 billion).

Ukraine’s top five agriculture sector trade partners within the EU in 2018 were the Netherlands (USD 1.2 billion), Spain (USD 1 billion), Italy (USD 738 million), Germany (USD 667 million), and Poland (USD 657 million).
