Ukrainian citizens can now take advantage of visa-free travel to Thailand after Bangkok removed visa barriers for stays of up to 30 days. Thailand is the latest in a series of countries to introduce visa-free access for Ukrainian passport holders in recent months.

The country's biggest visa breakthrough came in summer 2017 when the European Union granted Ukrainian citizens visa-free access for up to 90 days as part of deepening cooperation within the framework of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.

This progress has significantly enhanced the global mobility enjoyed by Ukrainian passport holders and helped Ukraine climb to twenty-fourth position in the 2018 edition of the annual Global Passport Power Ranking.
